For Edelstahl Mechanik GmbH in Göppingen, we have installed a comprehensive solution for a long good storage facility. The highlight: the rear output station delivers the long goods directly to the in-house tube laser.

We created an individual and fully automated storage solution for Sun Circle, the dutch manufacturer of sun protection systems. An impressive storage system that not only creates enormous storage capacity in the smallest of spaces, but also includes many special solutions.  

Schedler Transport & Logistics is the specialist for the transport of sun and weather protection. In order to increase the quantity and make the handling easier for the employees, 4 TowerMat storage lift systems were insallted in 2020.

An extraordinary project for an extraordinary company. Together with Kardex, we installed a 27 meter high TowerMat cassette storage system for Vega in Schiltach. A storage payload of 300 tons and a storage are of 636m² were created on a floor of just 35m².

A TowerMat TM-FE2.1 cassette storage system for the storage of aluminum fittings and small parts in pallet cages and cardboard boxes was installed at the company Blecha in Neunkirchen, Austria.

The storage tower has a total height of 24 m (incl. Enclosure) and a total capacity of up to 70 system cassettes with a total of 420 spaces in EP Format (1200 x 800 mm).

Loading and unloading is by forklift truck, or manual.

A total of 6 TowerMat TM-FE 2.1 cassette storage systems store plastic injection molding tools, with a total weight of up to 1,050,000 kg.

The storage systems have an overall height of 12m, or 9m working height.

The 35 cassettes per system can store tools, with different usable heights of up to 950 mm.

This project was carried out through our partner Kardex in Norway. The storage system was clad and connected to the adjacent building. The double tower is about 19 meters high and loaded and unloaded at 3 different stations. All 3 stations are on different levels, and one of them is outdoors. The carrier units are equipped with a carrying capacity of 5000 kg. Up to 5 EUR-pallets can be stored on each of them. Warehouse management takes place over the higher-level Power Pick Global by Kardex Remstar.

4 carousels as a bridge paternoster for the storage of long goods were installed for a coater of window and door profiles in Austria. Each carousel is 25 meters deep and connected to the INT-WM warehouse management software supplied as standard. We had already supplied the same customer with a similar carousel, and a sheet metal store, the year before.

A long goods carousel with a working width of over 13 meters and 34 carrier sets was supplied to a manufacturer of expansion joints, metal bellows and metal bellows combinations. This is the fourth INTERTEX storage system that has been installed in this customer’s production hall.

A long goods carousel in an excavation, with 39 carrier sets, was supplied to a manufacturer of expansion joints, metal bellows and metal bellows combinations. There are now 4 INTERTEX storage systems in this customer’s production hall.

An InterMat carousel with a total of 3 serving positions was installed for a manufacturer of plastic windows and roller blinds. Profiles are stored in the customer’s exchangeable cassettes. The special feature of the system is that cassettes can be deposited at one serving position for a longer dwell time. This allows work to continue at the other two serving positions.

A carousel for the storage of aluminum profiles was integrated directly into production for a clean booth manufacturer.

A gas supply company is using a carousel for the storage of plastic pipes up to a length of 12,000 mm. Retrieval takes place on the ground floor; the system has a horizontal chain reeving on the basement floor.

A carousel for the storage of aluminum profiles was integrated directly into production for a fire-fighting vehicles manufacturer. Loading is by means of a crane, profiles are taken out on the opposite side directly onto the roller conveyor of the sawing machine.

Carousel for the storage of high-quality lathe tools for medical technology. Retrieval is at the front. Both ground floor serving positions are secured against unauthorized access by roller doors.

A French door and window manufacturer is storing its plastic and aluminum profiles in an Intertex long goods store. The lateral retrieval of the profiles feeds directly into the storage magazine of the sawing machine.

INTERTEX created a carousel as a hot tower for bonded shapes for an aircraft cabin manufacturer. This hot tower serves as temporary storage and carries out tempering, during which a temperature of up to 100°C can be reached. In this way and thanks to 14 perforated carrier units with a carrying capacity of 150 kg each, a total of 28 bonded shapes are heated, dried and temporarily stored. Together with a SIEMENS-SPS controller, this tower carries out storage to the most modern level with high requirements. INTERTEX - We store it!

Different gages are stored in this carousel. The special feature of the carrier units is their 2 different loading heights (chain pitch). 14 carrier units can be loaded higher and with more weight than the remaining 14. The large carrier units are equipped with a swiveling front lip and are taken out on small rollers due to the weight. The carrier sets for the small gages are pulled out on a plastic system.

A packaging machine manufacturer from Dresden builds on Intertex’s quality.

An Intertex InterMat carousel was installed for the storage and packaging of cable harnesses.

Each reel can be operated separately and cut to length with the adjacent cable cutting machine.

This makes effective and time-saving work possible.

Another successful project between Kardex (Switzerland) and Intertex: we supplied 2 identical carousels for the storage of cable reels to an enterprise in French-speaking Switzerland. Each carousel has 28 carrier sets, and each carrier set provides storage space for 25 “bobbins”. This gives a total storage capacity of 1400 “bobbins” for the two units.                              The 2 storage systems are situated outdoors right in front of the hall. Two transparent roller doors in front of the loading stations, controlled by our pre-selector control, serve firstly as trap guards when the machine is running, while also offering protection from the wind and cold.

Bridge carousel with total depth of 25 meters approx. and a total capacity of 255 reels with a diameter of 800 mm.

"InterMat" carousel as a compact system with 2 slings for the storage of cable reels. The cable cutting machine by the Swiss company RAMATECH Systems AG is located directly in front of the carousel and can be moved aside.  Carousel selection is done through the cable cutting machine controller.

Carousel with horizontal chain reeving, required due to the low room height of 2800 mm. Cable reels with a diameter of up to a max. of 1000 mm and a weight of 800 kg to 1600 kg can be stored in it.

Two TowerMat TM-RE10.1 dynamic stores were installed at an energy supply company in Russia. Each storage system stores 80 system pallets with dimensions of 1,600 x 1,500 mm and a carrying capacity of 4,000 kg each.

An Intertex TowerMat TM-FE2.2 storage system for storing long goods and EUR-pallets was installed for the company Tractive AB in Borlänge, Sweden.

The system is loaded outdoors by forklift truck, or with the gantry crane installed on the building.

 Retrieval is indoors by crane.

In an automotive plant, joined tilting sunroofs are temporarily stored in this carousel during their hardening process. The mounting fixtures are automatically positioned and loaded every 120 sec. The 12 carrier units have dimensions of 2000 x 1300 mm.

Grundfos in Bjerringbro, Denmark puts its trust in INTERTEX.

Through our partner Kardex we supplied a Belgian car dealer with 2 identical carousels for the storage of passenger car tires and passenger car wheel sets. The paternoster is horizontally managed and has a depth of almost 20 meters. The system provides over 1300 linear meters’ storage space in total.

Three InterMat carousels were installed at a Canadian airline for storing tires with a diameter of between 580 mm and 810 mm. Each carrier unit has a carrying capacity of between 300 kg and 600 kg.

Tires at one of the largest tire producers in the world are stored in two INTERTEX dynamic carousels. Quick access to the wares is possible thanks to the proven paternoster principle. Tires with a maximum diameter of up to 800 mm can be stored in this InterMat carousel.

A large number of rolls were required for the maintenance of the production system for the manufacture of flat-rolled aluminum products at a company in the USA. These rolls are stored in a roll-over store with 14 towers and 145 carrier units, for a total of 245 rolls. Depending on the diameter of the rolls, one, two or three rolls per system cassette can be stored. Special holders guarantee professional storage on set support surfaces.

Approx. 800 proto-rolls are stored in this lift store. The floorspace requirements of the previous conventional static racking was four times as high. The dynamic storage system brings enormous savings in access times.

INTERTEX carousel for storing sheet metal coils. The coils are taken straight out of the carousel into the shear.

Germany’s largest skis and snowboard manufacturer stores the ski and snowboard surfaces in two carousels. These are fed directly into the cutting system, also supplied by INTERTEX, straight off the carousel.

The Intertex extensible modular carousel was extended to a total of 6 slings in two stages. The rolls of films are taken straight from the pressure machine into the carousel for interim storage.

This customer stores approx. 2500 pressure cylinders in a total of 37 INTERTEX vertical carousels.

InterMat carousel with a total of 60 carriers for the storage of pressure cylinders. The total carrying capacity is 57600 kg.

A joint project with our partner KARDEX installed a TowerMat for the storage of 40 t long goods to a manufacturer of electronic components.

A TowerMat storage lift with 16 towers and over 350 cassettes in total, for the storage of tubes and bar materials, was constructed for a leading steel handler in Switzerland, BRÜTSCH & RÜEGGER METALS AG. 2 saws, including a BEHRINGER band saw, are connected to the dynamic storage system which provides a load capacity of 3000 kg per cassette. The whole long goods store was set in a 3 meter deep excavation to maximize its storage capacity. Loading and unloading takes place at a total of 3 loading and unloading stations. A lateral station is situated at the front, and two lengthwise stations at the level of the two saws. Operation is by the INTERTEX INT-DSC1 pre-selector control.

Another drive-over bearing was installed in 2018. 26 more towers with a total of 563 more cassettes were added. With a length of more than 41m (!), it is an impressive storage system, which creates an unbelievable storage area of 3,200m² on a floor space of just 380m².

In both systems, more than 2,700 tons of long goods such as steel pipes, sheet steel and solid material up to 6m in length can be stored in a total of 913 cassettes.

A Swiss company near the German border solved its storage problem with a INTERTEX TowerMat

This roll-over store was optimally integrated into the hall available. Furthermore, the bridge section permits the utilization of the existing tower. A further special feature - along with the load capacity of almost 500 tonnes - is the shared lifting station integrated into the serving cart. This allows shorter pieces to be lifted without taking the rest of the cassette up with it.

A project in conjunction with our partner Kardex in Australia. The project consists of two INTERTEX TowerMat storage systems and 12 Kardex Shuttles XP. Control of all the systems is with the Kardex warehouse management software.

A TowerMat long goods storage system was installed for the company DeWilde in cooperation with our partner Kardex in the Netherlands. Sectional steel and steel bars, as well as round tubes, are loaded with an indoor crane.

This TowerMat type long goods storage system was processed through our dutch cooperation partner, Kardex.

An INTERTEX TowerMat cassette storage system for profiles was delivered to the company Stegherr Kunststofftechnik GmbH in Bavaria in 2013.

A storage tower, serving as a cooling tower, was designed for a ceramics manufacturer. A robot system takes the workpiece carriers straight off the production line and loads the carousel with millimetric precision in a fully automated manner. The workpiece carriers and taken out on the opposite side.

A Tübingen-based drilling, turning and milling tool manufacturer chose a TM-FE4.2 type TowerMat for storing its long steel profiles.

In cooperation with our partner Kardex-Remstar, a TowerMat TM-FE5.3 cassette storage system was installed for a prominent European ball and roller bearings manufacturer, for the storage of lathe tools of up to 6000 mm.

The loading and unloading takes place at a total of 3 stations. Two of these stations are positioned directly on the roller conveyor to the saws, to guarantee a safe, swift transport of the long goods to the saws.

Single-tower long goods store: This single tower serves as a long goods store and provides space for 20 long goods cassettes. A special feature is the second output point. A cart transports the cassettes requested to the loading/unloading position. A further TowerMat TM-UE 8.3 type storage system was delivered to this customer at the same time.

Long goods with a total weight of over 396 000 kg are stored in this dynamic roll-over store. The store holds a total of 132 carrier units distributed between 8 towers, with a load capacity of 3000 kg each. The use of three serving stations with integrated lifting station, among other accessories, for loading and unloading with a forklift truck, increases the productivity and flexibility of the store enormously.

A further TM-EE1.2 type TowerMat storage system was delivered to this customer at the same time.

We delivered a TowerMat TM-EE 1.1 type dynamic storage system for the storage of long goods to a leading manufacturer of industrial centrifuges from the Greater Munich area. The various usable cassette heights were precisely tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Another successful project which we have been able to carry out with our partner Kardex in the Czech Republic. A TowerMat dynamic long goods storage system for the storage of tube bundles was installed for the company Baumruk.

A Swabian manufacturer of tool holders is storing lathe tools in an INTERTEX TowerMat storage system. Loading and unloading of the system cassettes is done by means of a gantry crane built directly onto the storage tower. The storage goods can be brought straight onto the shared roller conveyor with a mobile lateral cart for further processing.

Another satisfied customer, a steelwork fabricator in Stuttgart.

 Installation of a TowerMat TM-EE1.1 cassette storage system for the storage of sectional steel and steel bars.

A manufacturer of industrial roller conveyors in Arkansas, USA now stores their raw material in an INTERTEX TowerMat storage system.

In conjunction with our partner Kardex Remstar, we installed a TowerMat TM-FE4.1 for the storage of long goods, for a prominent enterprise in the oil and gas industry in Housten, Texas.

Our customer in the black forest is a manufacturer of screw fittings, ball valves, valves, fittings, pipes and tubes out of stainless steel.

A TowerMat TM-FE2.4 cassette storage system was installed for a Swabian machine and plant manufacturer, for the storage of aluminum profiles.

In order to increase its storage capacity, this sheet metal store was set in a specially-prepared 2.5 m deep excavation.

A single tower for the storage of different steel plates was installed for a manufacturer of cranes, chassis and motors from the Ruhr region.

This TM-EE1.1 sheet metal store by INTERTEX accommodates 11 storage pallets. It contains the sheet metal stock for placement onto the adjacent TRUMPF laser.

Another project which goes through a roof! We supplied the company Bachofer GmbH & Co. KG from Weilheim an der Teck with a dynamic sheet metal store. The double tower is around 15 meters high and provides 120 storage places.

INTERTEX sheet metal store by TRUMPF laser. The company GEDA places its trust in INTERTEX once again. A long goods store had already been delivered to them in 2008. This time, a dynamic sheet metal store was integrated directly into production. A laser system by the company TRUMPF is connected right next to the store.

In cooperation with our partner Kardex Turkey, we delivered a dynamic cassette storage system for the storage of sheet metal to a business from the Turkish capital, Ankara.

We delivered a PickMat first of all, with a double material cart as a stand-alone solution. A year later, a move into a new hall gave space for a TowerMat, and with it, fully automated laser production.

A TowerMat TM-FE 2.1 sheet metal store was installed for our customer, and Austrian company who are global market leaders in track-laying machines.

In the course of a new construction, we supplied four TowerMat type storage system to the company Albert Handtmann Elteka from Biberach. One of these is this flat storage system, built as a double tower with two serving stations. One of the loading carts travels through a sound insulated and sectional door in the adjoining hall.

A dynamic TowerMat TM-RE 4.2 type sheet metal store with laterally operating storage and retrieval machine has been installed for our customer, a job order production company in Bavaria.

In 2020, the storage lift system has been expanded by 3 more towers, creating a total storage payload o 441 tons with allover 147 carrying units.
